Judith Brown, Conductor

Judy Brown (B.A. Hons, Mus. Ed.), A.R.C.T. (Mus. G. Paed.), has been Cantorion's conductor since 2000. She is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and the University of Toronto.

As a vocal and instrumental music teacher for twenty-eight years, Judy conducted choirs, bands and orchestras in London, Toronto, St. John's, Newfoundland, and London, England. Before her retirement in 2001, Judy initiated the successful venture, "Interlink", where senior citizens from the London community joined the choir at Sir Georges-Etienne Cartier Elementary School.

Currently, Judy also conducts the "Celebration Singers", a choir composed of individuals living with cancer. She is a private piano instructor and is the organizer of the annual "Journey of Hope", an evening of choral performances by London's premier choirs to raise money for The Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, Ovarian Cancer Research and Wellspring Cancer Support.

Beth Hickey, Accompanist

Beth is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. She is Music Director of Chalmers Presbyterian Church in London and accompanist for The Celebration Singers. She also plays for the Forest City School of Talent Education. Beth works as a freelance accompanist and has played for the L.B. Pearson School for the Arts and for St. Mary School Choir and Orchestra Programme.
